Multibase General Instructions
This base is the replacement for our previous
Multibase EL-1 product. The Standard Cream & Lotion Concentrate is a
suitable base for reconstituting to make face and body creams, lotions,
body butters and more. Other skin loving conditioners such as shea butter,
goat's milk, cocoa butter, mango butter, sweet almond oil, infused oils,
plant extracts, etc. can be added to this concentrate to customize your
special formulations.

The addition
of an oil is recommended once you reconstitute beyond 3 parts water to add
emollience to your formula. |

1 part concentrate to 4 parts

Note that 1 lb. of water
is equivalent to 16 oz.
Other Emollient/Additive
Suggestions
Up to 15% carrier oils or solid
butters can be added. If using butters such as cocoa butter, be aware that
the product may take on a more thick consistency - similar to a body butter
depending on the amount of water used.
Fresh Goat's Milk can be added
up to 5% of the total formula. If you are concerned about spoilage, adding
up to 1/4 percent of Germal Plus or other preservative is recommended.
Fragrance or Essential Oils
Between 1/4 and 1/2 percent is
acceptable. As this is a "leave-on" product the use of more fragrance is
discouraged.
Basic Instructions for Mixing
Gently heat concentrate until
melted and add water. This concentrate can be melted in the microwave on low
to medium power or in a pot on the stove over low/medium-low heat. Stir or
whisk mixture until it becomes homogenous and add between 1/4 and 1/2
percent fragrance or essential oil. Up to 15% carrier oils or solid butters
can be melted and successfully incorporated into the mixture for more
emollience.
